With 18 years’ experience in the commercial property sector with specialisms in telecommunication and renewable energy, David’s common sense practical approach and prescient advice mean he is well regarded in the commercial property market across the jurisdictions in which he acts. David’s clients include AP Wireless, Vodafone Limited, CTIL, Mobile Broadband Network Limited, Lush Retail Limited, Irish Rugby Football Union, Acheson Homes Limited and a considerable number of private developers and landlords.
David is dual-qualified in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and has a deep knowledge and wide experience of acting in both jurisdictions. David acted as lead external advisor to “3” advising on the installation of mobile phone network to sports stadia in the Republic of Ireland and at Dublin Airport Terminal 2, Dublin Port Tunnel and Dublin Convention Centre.
David has a clear understanding of corporate needs and is known for clear communication and speed of turnaround. David’s in-depth knowledge of the sector enables him to provide “full service” bespoke advice on any property related matter including Landlord and Tenant, investment sales and acquisitions, telecoms site roll-out and acquisition, on and off shore renewable energy projects and sale and purchases of business with significant property elements.
David has written regularly in Ulster Business and in the Belfast Telegraph and had recently delivered a paper to the RICS in respect of the new Digital Economy Act. As a former consultee to the Irish Land Law Commission, David has a particular interest in the law surrounding restrictive covenants.
David is recognized as a leader in the field of telecoms by Legal 500. Outside the office David sits on the Board of the Crescent Arts Centre, Photoworks Ireland Limited, Ponydance Limited and is a management committee member of the Ulster Reform Club.
